old glass jugAmerica Recycles Day is November 15.  Communities across the nation will be holding events creating awareness, promoting recycling, educating the population on environmental citizenship and encouraging action through the Keep America Beautiful program, which has been in existence since 1997.

You may ask what this has to do with interior decorating. And the answer is simple. Elan Redesign, a member of the Interior Redecorators Network (IRN), encourages using your existing furniture and accessories to transform the look of your living spaces rather than advising new purchases.  We advocate the “reduce, reuse, recycle” mantra thereby decreasing the amount of waste being placed in landfills.

Offering unique decorating services by use of existing furnishings is what sets Elan Redesign apart from other decorator services.  We make it affordable when a new living space is built on what is already present in the home. By helping our clients make responsible choices in every aspect of the design process, we are consciously encouraging good environmental stewardship.  We also recommend places where pieces that no longer fit into the room design may be recycled.

The Interior Redecorators Network is the world’s preeminent organization of interior redecorators.  Members involve, inform and inspire providing affordable, professional, top-quality design experience to create attractive, functional living spaces.
